Week 6

February 19, 2013

Hey y'all!

I made it to my first transfer! 15 left to go!  :)
This week we were so busy, helping people move! Its funny how many times i spent this last week moving boxes around the city of Arlington! Anytime someone needs help with moving the first people they call are the missionaries haha its fine though i like helping people it makes me feel good.

Our area is getting split on Wed!! We are getting two missionaries in our area, and my companion and i thought that we would have to give up our car. So we drove everyday so far. We are allowed 1050 miles a month, we have already used 770. And now they told us that we are keeping out car! So for the rest of the month we have to be careful not to go over our miles! We will be riding bikes a lot now haha. Which is a good thing because every time we go to a members house to eat, my companion will serve my dish with a lot of food then when they tell us to get more ill say no im full thanks though but then my companion will dump more food on my plate and some of the old people will watch me until i eat it all! So i need to exercise more! Don't worry im not getting fat though :)

Ive been studying the book of Mormon a lot. And i love it more and more. Its so interesting all the stories in there that really can relate to real life. I remember thinking all the time in seminary how can this old book help me? I would read the book of Mormon and think that it did not help me as much as it did all these other students that we changed because of it. Now as i sincerely study it and try to learn from it and apply it in my life it amazes me how it can help me, and the stories are so cool!

We have been working a lot with less actives this past week. The bishop gave us a list of like 100 people he wants us to visit and see how they are doing and get more information about them. And we have been trying to get them to get back to church. Its sad when i see these people because they are missing out on the great experience of church and the knowledge that comes from going to church.

We had stake conference this Sunday, which was a broadcast from SLC and president Erying actually talked and Elder Scott. And they talked basically about how important family is. Spending time with them and growing together. Ive been blessed with an amazing family you definitely learn to appreciate everyone in your family more when you wont see them for two years! I love you guys. Not only my immediate family but my extended family friends and the hillcrest 4th ward. I am so grateful for everyone who writes me and supports me. It really encourages me and helps me to know this work is very IMPORTANT and can be done. :)

love
Elder Boettcher
