Family and Friends

Hey family and friends!

Wow what a great week, i just want to thank yall for the support it really means the world to me when i get letters of encouragement from yall.

This past week was a great week!
It really was it started off with an exchange with my district leader Elder Pfister, ( who is from Orem! and he went to Timpanogos though,)  and it was really fun he helped me overcome more of my shyness which is a problem sometimes with talking to everyone, and it shouldnt because im already a weirdo wearing a shirt and tie in 90 degree weather! But because of talking to more people we gained 6 new investigators and taught 8 other lessons, so its been a lot of fun! I thank the Lord every night for the people we met and the wonderful investigators we have!

My companion is doing great! i can really see him grow and change into a  missionary and i am still trying to help him, im not the perfect trainer and find myself asking the Lord for help and guidance and that is always a big help. he loves teaching lessons and he really is just enjoying the work which is really important i think so i hope i continue to help him in any way i can!

Our area is great, as you can tell by our numbers for this week we had the best week so far! all we did was work and really try to get prayers in with people and it helped our numbers a lot, i hope this week we can plan for a good week and be able to do just as great if not better then last week. i feel bad though because i always forget to invite people to be baptized on a date! but we will work on that.

this is kinda a funny story! On tuesday we asked this guy while tracting if we could do anything for him. and in a joking voice he said we could help him pour concrete on saturday! so we said we could really help if he wanted us to! he said sure. so on saturday we bike over in service clothes to help this guy who was not interested in " mormons " and we showed up and he was in shock that we actually came, he is a older man and he hurt his back on friday night, so he thought it was amazing we came. But what i didnt know was that we were literally going to help him pour concrete! we moved dirt, made the wood for the outside of the concrete and help pour the concrete in and then smooth it out with the metal things they have. it was fun to learn he taught us how to do it and it was really fun, and after it was all done he invited us for a late lunch and we ate with the family. It was fun we got to talk a little about what we do as missionaries and they really were so happy we came! it felt good to do service and i enjoyed it, hopefully if anything we left a good taste of what mormons do, we might help him again this saturday with a fence but i dont know if i can handle it!

i hope everyone is doing well! and staying cool i am trying!
i do wear sunscreen on my face but i feel like it just comes off with all the sweat on my face! oh well.

Love you all!

Elder Boettcher
