Crazy Week!

May 5, 2014

Hey yall!

Well this week was an interesting one that's for sure. we are trying our best to continue to find people to teach and we have been trying to work with the less actives and the members more and more but during the day we have a hard time getting in with them so it makes it a little hard to actually do the work and then in the evening times we usually have some sort of appointment with someone that makes it hard to visit all of them. So we are working on a lot of different ideas to find new people ones that have not been tried before. Its a slow process right now but i have faith and know that it will pick up soon! we have two girls who are getting ready to be baptized that we are teaching so that is exciting we hope to get them baptized this month!

We also had stake conference this week and it was great, really focused on missionary work which was really exciting!

A couple of funny things happended this past week. on thursday we were filling up on gas and i left the keys in the car and when we got out of the car, the car decided to lock itself. :( So we had to wait at this gas station while someone was going to bring us an extra key. While we sat on the curb 3 people asked us if we needed anything which was very nice, one gave us money to get a drink while we waited because it was warm! Then the last guy who asked us if we were okay and told him the situation told us to stay there and he would be right back. he came back with the tool set to break into cars because he was an ex cop and got our car unlocked before the senior couple came to bring us our key. haha it was kinda funny.

well the car adventure continued this past week when on saturday night i was driving home from the adult session of stake conference with my companion and other elders in the back seat, while we were waiting to turn left. We got hit from the behind by a car going about 45 miles per hour. Before my mother freaks out WE ARE ALL FINE! :) even the lady who hit us was fine. We suffered some headaches and soreness from the impact but nothing serious happened. It was amazing how fast the police, firetrucks and ambulance showed up to the scene. The crash was at 9:43pm and we did not get home until 10:45. There was a bunch of people who came out to see what was happening and all of them were so nice to us! We had to get everything out of the car because the tow truck was going to take our car. Then because we had no way home a police officer offered to take us home in her big suburban cop car. So we got a nice ride home in the cop car and one of the missionaries asked the officer if we could take a picture in the car and she said sure. so we took one. then when she dropped us off told us that someone was watching over us tonight because its amazing there was no injuries in this type of crash especially for the back seat! It was neat.

God is good and protected us!
love and miss ya
