MAY!`

May 6, 2013

Hey Yall!

Wow, I cannot believe its already May! dang time just flies by doesn't it.

Well, all I can say is that last week was an amazing week! Obviously the highlight of the week was Elder Cook's visit, but we helped open some new apartments and that was fun to be a part of the opening new areas for the missionaries that are coming in, it makes me so excited that the work is moving forward.

Elder Cook talked about everything that I needed to hear!  It was so amazing to have an apostle come visit our mission. The whole Texas Fort Worth mission got to shake his hand! ya it took forever but it was so cool when I got up there to shake his hand! Then he talked a lot about D&C 31 it  really made me happy and honored to be a missionary. The spirit was definitely there and it just hit me that he literally is an apostle of the Lord, and how grateful I am to have living prophets and apostles to help me in this day in age where everything is crazy and I need as much guidence as I can get! He really made me want to be a better missionary, but not only that just a better member overall.
I loved being with the whole entire mission! I never felt the spirit so strong in my life with all the missionaries there! I just love being a missionary! and hope I can become a better one as I learn more to be like my Savior and spread this gospel to everyone! I know this work is super important and in the end, Satan won't win!

Our area is doing pretty good but having a hard time getting investigators to church. I think that's the hardest thing so far because I really know that some of the investigators that we teach could really be good members but just need to get them to church! That is something that we are really trying to work on this week. Also getting to know the ward better, in hoping that they will trust us so they can give us referrals so we can have better potential investigators. We still are working on finding new investigators, never giving up on that. I am really enjoying Euless though, most of the people are nice and willing to talk but never really want to hear what we say they just tell us what we think we need to know.

I've been trying to work on having the spirit on finding, and I think that's the best way that we can find the people that are ready!

It's been good, I'm learning to love this ward and the people in it have some amazing conversion stories that make me happy and know that the missionary work is important! I am just so excited for all the people who are getting ready to serve missions!!

And I'm excited for Mother's Day of course!

LOVE YOU MOM!

Love,
Elder Boettcher
