Hey yall
Well here it is my last full week in Euless, well i dont know for sure yet but most likely i would be the one to leave when transfers come but i guess you never know!
Jim and penny came to church yesterday and that was fun! actually its kinda funny because they beat us there to church! our ride was a little late so we got there right when church started and they were already sitting in the chapel talking to members. i was really glad that they came and were making friends. we have taught them now a total of two times and the lessons go well. they really like everything that we teach and have no disagreements i guess you could say, the only troubling thing they have well Penny's main concern is the Book of Mormon. She grew up on the Bible so anything new is just not something she can accept. But we are working with her and praying she will get an answer and realize that the book of mormon really isnt that weird.
We were teaching jim and penny the plan of salvation, and i accidentally told them that God has a body of flesh and bones (something that is not taught in preach my gospel) and they were just blown away! they couldnt believe that! oh it was awkward haha and then i couldnt remember the scripture that talked about how we are created in God's image, so i just moved on to the creation.
i was so embarrassed, our exchange said something funny about lessons. he said " if all of us could re-do our first or second lesson, everyone would be converted "
i just thought that was funny. when we teach them on thursday i hope that everything goes well!
Being a missionary, i have been able to look at the Book of Mormon with a different perspective and how it can really change lives and how important it is to our religion!
we are actually going there today for Pday to make pens! ( wood pens ) im excited for that! its cool to just make friends with some of the people you teach and be real with people. even though i am a missionary i dont have to be to weird. so im looking forward to that.
the weather has been really nice, it hasnt gotten above 100 this week! and its been cloudy so God does answer prayers!
We are just trying to make tracting and finding fun, because its not always the most enjoyable thing, we talk to people but its hard finding the " elect "
Im doing good, the members have been feeding us like crazy, i still havent gained to much weight but got a long way to go!
my companion and i are doing fine, its kinda weird to think this is could be the last week with him, ill miss this chump!
i hope everyone really reads the book of mormon and prays about it, that will strengthen your testimony more then anything.
Love and miss you!
