Hey yall!

Well i hope everyone had a good labor day! We went to a restaurant called Boston's yesterday and it was amazing! Then some Samoan members took us to a sushi restaurant, boy do i love Japanese food and cant wait for some real Japaneses food! So my labor day was good :)

Our area is doing alright. Norman came to church yesterday! Yay! It was awesome he bought new pants and everything to look good for church. It was pretty neat to see that. He LOVES gospel principles, he will just say whatever is on his mind and then enjoy a good conversation in the class.
This week we are going to try to set a baptismal date with him. We tried last week, and that was a cool little experience. We were teaching him about repentance and baptism, and he really was not into the lesson and we asked him what he was thinking about and he said did not feel ready for baptism. so we kept teaching him more about baptism but i felt like he needed to hear something different. So when it was quiet, i looked at him and asked " do you believe God loves you?" and looked at me and said " no." And went on explaining why he does not think god loves him because of mistakes he has done and because his wife has passed away, he just doesn't know if God does love him.
It was so cool to  have him open up to us, and we tried our best to help him. It was really interesting to actually meet someone who doesn't know if God loves them or not. We get so used to people saying " i love God" " Jesus loves me!"
That i forget some people really have a concern that God may not love them.
So i am excited to teach him this week and see what we can do to help him feel ready for baptism.

I love teaching people, thats my favorite thing as a missionary.

Exciting news! Next week we have Elder Anderson and Callister coming to give us a training! And whats neat is that we are meeting with the Dallas mission! So about 600 missionaries are going to meet with each other! I am so excited to see what its all about!

Its September and its till 100 degrees outside, there is something wrong with this. I hear that it doesnt cool down until.... end of october! crazy.
