Mexia!

Hey yall

Well here i am in Mexia texas. It has been a really weird adjustment being out away from the city and being here in a small town of 6,000 people. serving in a branch is really different then the ward i was serving in Euless. Our church building is so small and only 40 members come to church, we have no young women! haha its just really funny to me for some reason how small this branch is. So far i have really enjoyed mexia. Instead of seeing tongans and buildings all i see is fields and cows. longhorns to be exact. Mexia reminds me of Idaho for some reason, so at times i forget i am in texas until i get out of the car. Mexia is an interesting little town, there are houses all over that are just empty, a lot of people are moving out because there is so few jobs here. ther only claim to fame this town has is apparently Anna Nicole Smith lived here for awhile. and a local mexian will tell you she really didnt grow up here. haha but she has some family here, and we are actually teaching her cousin!
There are some awesome people here in mexia and the surrounding towns. We are teaching a lady who's husband was the first drummer for the Goo Goo Dolls.
But every friday night, football is what it is all about the town gets together and cheers for their high school! its like a movie or something its so cool. we passes by the game we didnt really get to watch it, in fact i dont think we are allowed to but whatever!
its very nice to be in a car area for sure! i am the designated driver so after 5 and a half months driving that was weird to do but now ive gotten used to it.

even though we are in a rual area where there is not a whole lot of people it still amazes me how many churches are still here. and it just blows my mind. but we are finding new investigators and teaching people! im excited to see what happens this week!

Love and miss yall
