Last week of Aug in Euless

August 27, 2013

Hey Everyone!

I cannot believe that this is the last week of August! Time has been going by really fast. But it has been very hot here this past week. I am getting a good tan so i guess thats a good thing!

Its been a good week, our district of 6 ( two sisters and four elders) have been waking up at 5:50am every morning and we have been playing basketball at the church until 7. and then on friday we made breakfast burritos together at the church. it was a lot of fun! its fun to exercise like that, but i haven't been this sore and tired in awhile! i guess its a good thing! im always exhausted when its time for bed.

We were busy trying to contact a lot of potential investigators this past week, we are trying an experiment, we are not going to tract this whole transfer, we have 3 weeks left. so far we have made it with just talking to people and visiting members but im wondering how long we can actually go without tracting. Its nothing the whole mission is doing, its just something my new companion want to try ( mainly because he hates tracting so ya ) but im always down to try new things! Challenge accepted.
:)

We had an investigator come to church yesterday who we met in May! His name is Norman and he couldnt ever make it to church because he works on the weekend, so we have been praying and trying to help him change his schedule or something to come to church because he also had a desire to come to church! Finally when we taught him this week he got his schedule changed! and he said he enjoyed church, but fell asleep during sacrament meeting and he started snoring! and i was so embarrassed! i didnt know what to do so i coughed loud in my arm and it woke him up! haha i tell you what, being a missionary, church is easily such a stressful day when investigators come! You just want them to have a good spiritual time and you worry about EVERYTHING! usually things go well though. He said he wants to come back next week. so we are planning on setting a baptismal date this week with him!

There is a lot of good things going on right now, we found a couple of new investigators what are looking for a better life, and what they dont know is that the gospel will bring that better life for them!
We did a zone service project helping this older lady with her yard and that was a lot of fun. One of my favorite things as a missionary is when we all get together just for whatever reason!

As for my family moving to Japan i could not be any more happier for them! I think its a wonderful change and exciting time for them. I am very excited to join them next Christmas. And i hope everything works out for them! I am just hoping that i can re learn the language when i get there!

Love you all!!!
