Howdy yall!

Oh man it has been a great birthday week! thank you for all the birthday wishes! It was really good. My companion and I went out to eat at a sushi place and it wasn't that good.

But we got to teach a man at the church about family history. and that was pretty cool! i dont want to brag or anything but ive actually become pretty good at helping people find their ancestors! i guess its because i have used family history as a finding tool in my previous area and it worked so i have spent some time learning how to help people. and actually this thursday we have a training on family history so im excited to learn more. you would be surprised how many people actually care about where they come from!

Today we had a visit from a member of the seventy, Elder Pino and his wife. i feel so spoiled because i have had so many authorities visit our mission! i love hearing from them they have such great things to say. he taught us about how important the spirit is in everything we do as missionaries and not only as missionaries but after the mission as well when we live our day to day life. as well as being humble in order to feel the spirit. it was a great talk!

Mexia is doing good, we taught 4 lessons in one day when we were in the city next to it. Its weird because the people we teach are very nice but they do not seem to understand that there is one true church on the earth! they think its all about the church they go to and they dont need another one. its a hard thing for people to get. i guess they dont get the restoration. we are working on finding new investigators. we struggle with that a little.

Iknow we will find people though, as we follow the spirit in finding!
