Hey Y'all!!

I am doing pretty well and had a pretty good week last week!

A lot of the times i find myself questioning if promptings i feel are coming from the spirit or if its something i am thinking of. and this week i had a neat experience helping understand the holy ghost and promptings. we have this solid investigator who we have been working with since november and she works a lot and we have not seen her in two weeks! we ( at least i ) was getting nervous because she never answered our phone calls and never answered our texts and she was not there when we felt like we should stop by.

Well this week on thursday i had a feeling to go to her house to see if she was there. i put the thought aside because she lives out of the city and we did not really plan to go see her. elder evensen and i talked about it and felt like we should go visit her, so we went forward with faith! and our investigator was not there, but her daughter was there and we got to teach her more about the book of mormon and committed her to read it! well we left thinking that we did our part in inviting her daughter and maybe that was the reason why we went. and as we were driving away we felt like we should go back and invite them to a church open house that was in waco this past weekend. and i thought no we were just there... it might be a little awkward. but sure enough we did a three point turn and headed back. her daughter answered the door and we invited her to the open house and soon after we did that our investigator pulled up to the house and came and talked to us! she told us she has just been slammed at work but has been reading the book of mormon and still wants to know if its true!
we did not teach her a lesson because it was just about time to get home. the fact that we caught her and invited her to church and the open house was a blessing in itself.

i learned a neat lesson, not all the time do we get the strong feeling to do something. but its those little promptings we need to act on and as we act on them the lord will give us more to help us out in our lives. for the rest of the week i have been trying to following the prompting whether they work or not!

we are trying to work so hard with members and every time we see members we have made it a goal to simply ask them how their missionary work is going! we feel like the best way to get investigators in this area would be to get their referrals. and on sunday a member actually brought two friends to church! and we taught them, it was fun and i think it was motivational for the other members who haven't brought their friends to church. our branch members really want to share the gospel and we want to help them!

our area is doing good, we are doing our best to find people, teach the people we have, and help out the members in anyway.

Elder Evensen is doing good, we are still working together to get to know each other better so that we can have more companion unity and even become better teachers together. that is something we need to work on. but i remember how nervous i was teaching people for the first time.

the weather is getting warmer.. which is not something i am looking forward to again haha.

love and miss yall!
