Happy New Year! Boettcher

January 7, 2014

Hey yall,

well happy new year to yall!!

we had a sleep over with the zone leaders new years eve because we had a meeting the next morning in fort worth which is about an hour and half away. so we met up with them so we didnt have to wake up at 530 to get to the meeting! it was fun and we were planning on waking up at midnight to take a picture... but everyone stayed asleep. haha

It has been a cold new year here in mexia texas! It was around 23 degrees this morning! its weird not to see any snow though.

its funny because the other day we raked some leaves for a member, and that wasn't something i have done in January ever! But it was fun to help our members and he let us fish in his back pond and we caught nothing. it is way to cold for any fish to be out! it was a fun time though.

I finished the new testament and i have started the book of mormon again, studying and reading it cover to cover and i keep learning so much! its amazing! the scriptures are really such a great source of knowledge that i will always love learning about!

We found a couple of new investigators, and taught some good lessons with our investigators and it was a lot of fun! i need to remember to let my greenie do more of the teaching so he can get the skills he needs to teach people! but it has been good he is a great elder who just wants to do the right thing! and do the missionary work. a great example to me.

Its always a testimony builder as investigators and people we meet talk about how they dont like how a lot of churches around here are only a sunday religion, but the people who know some lds people they always talk about how great of an example they are always during the week and its not just on sundays. and that is something we need to always remember, to live our religion so we can show it to others and help the missionaries out that way!

remember mosiah 18:19-20!

i love and miss yall!!

love
