Hey Yall,
So i am not going to lie when i say my first Easter away wasn't hard,
it was hard seeing all the families together and i wasn't with mine
made me a little sad and then Easter dinner was good but weird not to
be home for that. I teared up in sacrament meeting because it was a
mission farewell again and the mom was crying and it made me a little
home sick! But i remember thinking about the savior and what he did
for us and what Easter really meant to us! And this overwhelming sense
of peace came upon me, almost telling me that everything was going to
be okay and not to worry about missing my family because i get to talk
to them in may!
The most exciting thing. that happened this week was that we ate
dinner at this memebers home where they were from china? somewhere out
there and basically what they cooked for us is a baby duck egg. I
forget what it was called but its like the abortion of a duck so right
before they baby duck grew they cooked it and we ate it! IT was GROSS
never again will i eat it but it made me thankful i am in texas and
not asia!
Other then that it was a good Easter and week. My companion is getting
transferred and i am staying here with another companion coming. So
that is exciting and will be cool to see who he is and show him
around. There are a lot of good things coming in this area i think,
things are going well and it should be a good transfer!
It was a tough week, we didnt get to find very many new investigators
or teach as much as we have before so that was hard but other than
that it was good. We taught Rose and her family one night, they need
to get baptized but they are a busy family and it feels like we never
get to see them! so it can be hard to meet with her. Trying to get
that taken care of.
You wanna know my favorite thing? Everytime we go to walmart someone
always asks me or my companion where something is and then we tell
them we dont work there and its so funny! I think it is so funny it
makes me laugh everytime!
Everything else is going well, our car is getting taken away because
of the split so it will be a bike area now.... i dont know how i feel
about that because on saturday we biked all day and it was only 78
degrees and i was dying of heat!!!
LOVE YOU ALL
Elder Boettcher
