Last P-day of 2013

Happy New Year Y'all!

I was just sitting here emailing and then it hit me that this was the last email that i would send in the year of 2013! Wow that is pretty crazy for me to think about. I remember this time last year i was celebrating the new year in the MTC, and that was so much fun! Now i will be celebrating it here in mexia and going to bed at 10:30 for that matter!

Well i hope that everyone had a wonderful christmas day! because i sure did, it was wonderful to spend a christmas in Texas. It was very different waking up and feeling like it was just another day in the mission field. but my companion and i stayed up on christmas eve wrapping some presents for our district and then listening to christmas music and the story of our Savior's birth and it was a lot of fun. It was one of the most touching christmas i have ever had.

On christmas day after we opened presents we went to waco to have a breakfast with all the missionaries in our zone at a members house. and it was a lot of fun! we even got to wear our pajamas because it was 8 am that we had to be there! so we woke up around 530 in the morning. it was a little crazy. after breakfast we had district meeting and then after district meeting we had a little missionary get together while some of the missionaries called their families back home. when we got back to mexia it was time for dinner and we spent dinner with some members and had fun singing christmas carols and spending time together. it was a wonderful christmas day and i got to end my night skyping my family which was the best thing about christmas! i have so much love for them and miss them so much!

the rest of the week was filled with a couple teaching apointments, and trying to find new investigators. it was warm enough to walk around but now its getting colder outside and i am very grateful for our car!
we also had interviews with our mission president and that was a lot of fun. he is a wonderful man, who is so spiritual i learn so much from him its crazy.

i hope as this new year comes up, we all find ways to better ourselves physically, spiritually, intellectually and mentally/socially.
that was the challenge that president ames gave us for this next year and i would like to invite yall to do the same.

"if your not in the process of becoming the person you want to be, your automatically in the process of becoming the person you don't want to be."

its a great time to be alive and to be a part of this gospel!

Happy new year
love,
