Hey family and friends,

Well things were warming up this past weekend here in Mexia Texas and then all of the sudden we went down to the 30's. But the good news is that its going to warm up this weekend and should stay warm for at least a good week! I do not know how missionaries in cold states/countries do it for so long. Although I really have been enjoying the cold, because when I think about how hot the summer is going to be, I realize how grateful I am for the break.

Things are going pretty swell here in Mexia. We have been busy teaching some less actives and helping a family with their family history work. Sadly we have been having a hard time getting/meeting together with our investigators. I forget that a lot of people have a normal life and are not waiting for us to visit them all day. So it has been interesting in that aspect.

We have been trying to work a lot with the members here and they really want to share the gospel, now I think it is a matter of just doing it!
We had a dinner with a member every night last week expect for two days and on of those days was with an investigator! It was so awesome we have not had so many meals with members before! It was a real treat, I have not been fed so much since I was in the Euless ward with all the Tongans! One day was a vegetarian meal and it was amazing, I love eating fresh fruits and veggies, I never buy them!

A neat little experience we were teaching an investigator, and her friend cam over and sat down and started listening to us teach about the plan of salvation. He was asking some interesting questions and all of the sudden broke down crying, and he told us that he had lost his wife only about 3 months ago. I testified to him that we came to tell him there was hope and he could see his wife again if he followed and lived Gods commandments. It was so cool to be able to really say that and mean that! It is so true and wonderful that we can! He said he believed that, but needed to change his life in order to do so.
He did not set a return appointment but we hope to catch him again and teach him more.

This week we have zone conference and I am way excited for that! I love being with other missionaries and learning from our mission president!

I love and miss y'all!
