Hello Family and Friends,
Things in Mexia have been going pretty good. I went on an exchange to waco this past week and it was so much fun, missionary work fun, it was so neat to be back in a city where people are always out and about and there were new faces to talk to and see. I was with Elder Addington and he was such a good example of being diligent and made me want to be more diligent in my work it was very neat and i really enjoyed it. It reminded me of when i was in the bigger cities and how i enjoyed that and how great of a mission i really have had thus far. and how i want to continue making my mission great with the time i have left. I have been thinking lately about how awesome it is for me to serve a mission and how i need to take it a little more seriously and really try to help more people come unto christ. I have loved serving around all the people i have served around and hope to do so more. And i know as i continue to put my trust in the lord he will bless me and help me with this work.
We are really trying to find new investigators and that has been a little hard. Although we have a dinner almost every night this week with members and we are going to try to talk about missionary work with them to help them find people to teach for us. I do believe and know this is the work of salvation meant for everyone to work together and our branch council is starting to catch the vision and i think that soon we will be seeing all the fruits from the labor of missionaries and members.
This week we did some service where we helped till and get ground ready for a garden and it was actually pretty fun! After we tilled we got to help plant some flowers and other odds and ends in the garden, it was cool and made me want to have a garden when i get home! We also made banana bread with a family for dinner and that was fun! the random things we do as missionaries sometimes!
thank you for all the love and support!
love
elder boettcher
