Elder Cardon week!

October 20, 2014

hey yall!

This was probably one of the best weeks i have had as a missionary. Full of Elder Cardon of the seventy.

This week we got to watch Meet the Mormons and i have not teared up in a movie for a LONG time till then. Oh man all the missionaries were crying when it came to the part of the missionary mom! But the movie was really good! I hope that it helps the missionary work move forward! The theater here in Arlington extended it another week because enough people were going to it! yay! :)

Then on Thursday we had a mission president fireside with recent converts with special guest elder and sister cardon. And we went with our two recent converts and they loved it! It was so neat! Elder cardon gave a great talk on the church and it was great!

On friday we had a zone conference with Elder Cardon from 10-4pm! It was amazing. I learned a lot! And i got to see most of my mission friends that i have made while serving here. A lot of them go home next month though :( At the conference though you could just feel the spirit and you knew he was a leader called of God. He also is very funny, we got to meet him and shake his hand too. He talked a oft about the gathering of Israel and how missionaries are literally a part of that. It was very inspiring.

Then on saturday we had stake conference in the evening and of course elder cardon was the speaker! and it was great since missionaries are now allowed and supposed to go to the adult sessions it was great!

Sunday had the same thing we had stake conference and we had Elder Cardon speak to us.

So as you can see it was a full busy fun week. in the midst of all that i went on an exchange with elder nielson and that was a lot of fun. We also found a new investigator who wants to learn more and thinks the "mormon" religion would be the thing for him! And that family we finally taught last week are still doing good we visited them last night and they said that they have been looking into it more and searching the internet ( uhh that could be bad) and like what they have been seeing.
Things are going pretty well, i have my fair share of hard times still. It would not be missionary work without it!

love and miss yall
