Service!

Hey yall!

We had a pretty good week this week! We got to  teach a lot of people and work with a couple of our investigators hopefully that starts to go somewhere with them. One was supposed to come to church yesterday but it didn't happen! next week!>

We also had a great opportunity this week to do some service! President Petersen ( 1st counselor in our mission presidency)  got us to help out with a service project in south east fort worth and it was a blast! We went as a zone and we picked up trash around the city and we were in a group with another church.

When it started i was talking to the other missionaries i don't see very often and tried to build friendships with them. When it hit me that this was a missionary opportunity not talking to missionaries time! Once i realized that i tried talking to more people and so did the other missionaries! Most of them had great conversations about the church with other people in a fun non threatening way. It was wonderful! I really enjoyed it! One man was like "I've never really talked to a Mormon before!" And everyone was so kind to one another and we really made a difference in the community we were cleaning. I know service is a way to share the gospel with others. At the end we got to meet the mayor of Fort Worth and we got free tee shirts! I wish we had more service projects like that.

I also had a little touching moment after that service project. We went to chick-fil-a for lunch and there was this group of youth sitting across from us and we were people watching because we were still in our service clothes so people were not looking at us to weird. And this group of teens with a parent, before they ate their food they said a prayer with each other! It was so sweet! I LOVE TEXAS these wonderful people of other faiths are such great examples to me.
Anyway i thought that was neat.

This week our ward is having a Halloween party on Halloween so we actually get to be out on Halloween this year!!! yay!!!! We are going to invite some of our investigators so i really hope that they come! It should be good! i hope yall have a great Halloween because i LOVE It!
