Hey Y'all!
I hope that everyone had as great of thanksgiving as i did! It was a pretty crazy day. We had thanksgiving lunch with an investigator and she had ordered a lot of BBQ food for thanksgiving so it was weird to not have turkey.. but it was good and i was so full! then after that we went to a members house for a thanksgiving dinner! i was just not in the mood to eat anymore! but i still ate and oh man i was so full. after dinner we stopped by an investigators house again to eat pie with them. and i am in love now with buttermilk pie! its so good.
It was fun but it made me miss my mother's cooking and the family time back home.
We were mostly busy this week helping a couple of families move! we spent four days moving a family from our branch to another city in our area. But it was good because their friend who is not a member and has come to church a couple of times was there helping as well and we were able to talk and fellowship her more in hopes that we can teach her one day.
And then on saturday... we ate another thanksgiving!
I never get tired of service though, i always feel good and its neat helping people out. During this week of moving a lot and doing service i was reminded of a quote i heard the other day.
"Always do right, this will gratify some people and astonish the rest."
- Mark Twain
I do not even know how many times i have been able to just offer little service to people and they just are so blown away by it.
i hope in this holiday season we all find time to help people out!
Love and miss yall!
